My Musicals
Theatre has always been a large part of my life. Besides performing in theatre on Broadway, Off- Broadway and in several regional theatres on the west coast, I have written several musicals, some in partnership with some very talented lyricists, book writers and composers.
All have been produced including my newest, GIFT OF THE MAGI: THE MUSICAL, which recently received its World Premiere.
They are all available for production, so if you or someone you know are interested, please let me know.
Below is the sizzle reel of our my show, Gift Of The Magi - The Musical

BORN A UNICORN
Originally produced at the Inner City Cultural Center in Los Angeles, Born A Unicorn is a musical written & directed by Ted Lange, who played the friendly and always smiling bartender Isaac Washington on the popular TV show, "Love Boat", with music & lyrics by Beverly Bremers and Phyllis St. James.
It tells the story of Ira Aldridge, an internationally-acclaimed black Shakespearean actor who accomplished the rare and unthinkable in the 19th century. He broke color barriers –– professionally and personally –– by performing traditional “white” roles in front of white audiences throughout Europe and marrying a white English woman when interracial marriage was rare and taboo. The show recently was produced by N.C. Black Repertory Company.
The musical has been described as a Rock ’N’ Roll, R & B, Gospel musical depicting the life of Ira Aldrige.
The show earned a Nomination for the NAACP Black Image Award.
